About this Coffee

Our 2nd release in the Global Gourmet Series is here, and it is a FairTrade Organic Coffee. These amazing beans are grown in the Chanchamayo region of Peru at about 4000ft in the high Andes Mountains. In 1965, a group of 100 small-scale coffee farmers from the Chanchamayo region came together to establish the La Florida Cooperative. Today, the coop has grown to over two thousand farmers who work together to improve the quality of coffee La Florida produces. We have our master roasters roast this bean to a Full City Roast. As always our coffee is GMO free and made from 100% Arabica beans.

Tasting Notes

Our Peruvian La Florida Coffee from the Monkey Cult Global Gourmet Collection has a perfectly balanced creamy taste with very unnoticed acidity, which is complemented by a pleasant light bitterness. The flavor unfolds layers of milk chocolate and Brown sugar, with hints of roasted almonds and a touch sweetness that ends with peaches. We consider his a delicate coffee with multiple complex levels of flavor. It’s roasted to perfection by master roasters and pairs well with a touch of whole milk or creamer . Drink black to awaken your senses and experience the evolution of infusion.
