As if we weren't already thoroughly obsessed with coffee, the scientists and doctors at John's Hopkins now agree that there are also several health benefits of drinking coffee! Let's explore just some of the ways the right cup of coffee can change more than just your mood in the morning.

3.) Coffee drinkers are less likely to experience heart failure 
4.) Caffeine is linked to lower risk of Parkinson's 
5.) Protect your liver with healthier enzyme levels from drinking coffee regularly (decaf too!)
6.) Strengthen your DNA by reducing breakage 
7.) Lower your risk of colon cancer by 26%!
8.) Reduce your risk of stroke with a boost to your overall cardiovascular health

Other studies have found that regular coffee drinking can lower depression, support weight management, improve your cognitive function, reduce inflammation, and boost your energy to help you live a healthier life. Coffee is also a great source for Caffine, Vitamin B2, Magnesium, and polyphenols, which are plant compounds that have antioxidant properties.

According to the American Heart Association (AMA) drinking at least one cup of coffee each day may lower your long-term risk of heart failure. Studies show that when compared to people who drink no coffee, consuming caffeinated coffee reduces the risk of heart failure by about 12% per cup. For healthy adults, 400mg (around 4 cups) is the recommended amount of coffee consumption per day.
